Homemade chocolate cake and Corona...dinner of champions. No really, that's what I'm eating.
My friend Jessie is getting married on Saturday and with all the things that keep happening to her she has every right to be Bridezilla, but she's actually dealing really well. Last week she went in to pick up her dress from David's Bridal after getting it altered. She takes off work in order to do this, when she gets there they can't find the dress. She's there for like half an hour before they tell her they lost it. Then they tell her to come back on Friday and hopefully they will have found it. HA! They tried to placate her with a $25 discount. Which really wasn't a discount because that just reimbursed her rush fee! If that's not bad enough, today she calls me because she just got her bridesmaids dresses in the mail (her family is in Cali so they had to ship them after alterations, her mom didn't want the airlines to lose them). One of the dresses has a navy blue custom made sash made from another bridesmaid dress. It bled on the solid white of the rest of the dress in shipping. When Jess took it into David's Bridal, they laughed at her and told her they didn't do custom jobs so she didn't get it from them. So she called her mother and handed the phone to the manager. Now she is getting free Bridal Gown Preservation treatment ($200), and they fixed the dress in question. Bitches. Boycott David's Bridal unless you too want bad things to happen to your dresses! Oh yeah and her wedding is supposed to be outdoors on Saturday...there's 40% chance of rain. Well at the least the reception is indoors. Two words: OPEN BAR. California Knows How to Party.
More to come on how the wedding goes...and yes...I actually have a date. We'll see if he bails at the last minute...

I hope he bails last minute...because that would be hilarious.
He didn't, so there...but the DJ did.
